I started playing softball in Chicago in 1986 with Buck's Saloon, (not mine though!). Sidetrack, the upper team, asked me if I wanted to go to a tournament in Boston over July 4th. I said yes, went and finished second. From then on I was hooked on softball and friends. I have met so many friends and people over the last 2 decades from all over the country. Softball was, and is, a great support network when things in life don't go your way. We lost many friends to AIDS in the 1980's and 1990's.

I moved a couple times from Chicago to Minnesota, to my love for Boston, and to my native home of Florida for a few years. I’ve always tried to promote the BSL and have been successful in getting many to cross over from other sports, such as basketball, to play in the BSL.

Yesterday and today Gay Softball has been a huge part of my life and will always continue to be. I will always be grateful for having the opportunity to play with so many good people and players. Thanks
